Marriage and family counseling can help break down barriers of communication. You get stuck in a "dance" where you know each other's steps so well you stop talking about issues. Therapy helps lower your defenses, you learn to talk and listen to each other without being reactive. Individual therapy is the essence of self-care. You are taking time for you! Therapy can help you understand your issues with better clarity and without self-criticism.

Exceeding Expectations One Client at a Time
My sessions are telehealth and are for Connecticut residents only. I offer a calm, safe, non-judgmental place for couples, individuals, and families. At the top of my page is a poem by Rumi and I think it’s the perfect message for therapy-letting go of who or what is right or wrong. Other phrases to let go include “I should, you always, you never, I need to.” As your therapist I attempt to reframe absolute thinking and introduce a middle ground. I respect how making the call and sharing your struggles takes courage and this is the first step in creating your new story. Together, we can explore your issues to empower your sense of self and help you recognize you have the power to accomplish your goals.
Services I Offer
I work through HIPAA protected telehealth. You must be a Connecticut resident and are currently in Connecticut at the time of the session. I do not accept insurance, but I offer a sliding scale.
